MH1: Yes. MH1 can design your new site and transfer the completed files to
your current host using FTP software. Clients are not bound to using our hosting.
Q : Can I buy/register my domain name through MH1 Web Design?
MH1: Yes. We will purchase your new domain(s) in your name so you are the
registered owner. This requires client's credit card of choice.
Q: How long will it take to build and launch my new website?
MH1: It depends. Almost 60% of the business sites we build are 'static' websites
requiring no databases or advanced programming. Also known as
'brochure-sites' these can typically be completed within 2-4 weeks or less if the
client has all of the required text and content ready.
'Dynamic' sites with databases and interactive features typically take up to six
weeks.
Q: Can I maintain the content on my website to avoid additional costs?
MH1: If the site is a relatively simple static, brochure-style website, requiring
infrequent changes, than anyone with some knowledge of HTML coding may be
able to make occasional changes or updates. However, MH1 will not be
responsible for damage caused by coding errors.
Q: How much does MH1 charge for changes and updates?
MH1: Our rates dropped in 2006 from $60/hour to $45/hour.
Q: What about complex websites that require regular changes and
maintenance?
MH1: Many dynamic sites require monthly calendar or news updates, job
postings, or other content changes. MH1 can create broswer-based admin tools
for these recurring updates. We also provide discounted annual content service
plans based on one-hour of service each month for only $35/month. These
plans must be pre-paid for 12 months to receive the discount.
Q: Does MH1 use templates when creating new websites?
MH1: No. Your website is a custom designed work using your company logo and
color scheme.
Q: Can you show me some ideas before I commit to using MH1?

website that will look similar?
MH1: Absolutely. We frequently do this for new clients. You will need to have
your graphic artist email us the print files or snail mail us a CD of these files.

Q: What is the first step is designing my new website?
MH1: After we receive your signed copy of our proposal/quote and your down
payment, MH1 begins creating your custom 'mock-up'. This sample layout is
built using logo, color scheme and other preferences you may have indicated

mock-up design.. usually within seven days of our receipt of your down-payment.
After your review and changes/edits, the final mock-up layout and design is
'approved'. Then the rest of the site is constructed.

are hidden files within your site called meta-tags. Search engine software

engine determines how important your site is and how highly you should be
ranked for your selected keywords. Your site must be properly optimized and
periodically updated for higher rankings.
Q: I am only interested in boosting my search engine rankings. Will MH1 do this?
MH1: Yes. We do not need to build your website or re-design it to help you with search engine marketing techniques.
